Clean griddle, even more authentic flavor.
From our experience as both manufacturers and users of the griddle, we recommend cleaning the plate while it is still hot but turned off. Simply pour a little water onto the plate; the steam will loosen any residue stuck to the surface. Use a spatula to guide the water to the drain hole, and then wipe up any remaining water with a paper towel.
Once the plate is cold, you can remove any remaining dirt with a little dish soap and a stainless steel scrubber to make the plate shine like new.
Here’s a tip: if you’ve cooked seafood or fish and want to switch to cooking meats, you can use alcohol vinegar to eliminate any lingering odors and flavors. It’s easy to go from cooking shrimp to a ribeye steak in just 5 minutes.
